1. 01 Every color once per row and column Classic Sudoku, with nine colors standing in for the numbers 1 to 9.
2. 02 Every color once per 3×3 box The nine boxes marked by the heavier lines follow the same rule.
3. 03 Three lives, three hints, three undos A wrong color stays on the board and costs a life. Tap the cell again to place a different one, or undo the move.

Notes mode marks the colors a square could still take — its position in the small grid is what identifies it. Hold a color to mark it without switching modes.
